I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people duing my birthday a month ago, which I celebrated in an island resort. I bumped into this family of professionals who were on a vacation for their parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I was surprised to learn that almost every member of their family have the same professions. I was told that for you to be a member of the family, you have to be a doctor, a lawyer or a banker. It was amazing how they were able to keep that kind of family tradition. Raising your kids to follow your footsteps and asking them to marry people who are also in their preferred trade. So I asked some of the kids in private if it really was their decision to be that kind of professional. It turned out I was right. Most of them were forced. Some even indicated that if they were given the option, they would have chosen a different path. I learned that one of them, while working as a doctor, is playing guitar for a band. It was his dream to become a band performer, but entertainers are not in their family profession and so he chose to become a doctor. They even gave me an advice, them not knowing what I do for a living. They told me I should go after what I want, and that it may sound funny to many people, but life is too short to spend on something you're not happy doing. Later I told I'm doing what I love. I was there on the island not just to celebrate my birthday, but to work as well. I travel for work. The best profession ever. You can talk about...
