Applicants need to think ahead of everything, specially when you got invited for an interview. Your chances of getting hired depends on your words and how you deliver them.

Here are some of the most common questions during a job interview, and some ideas on how to answer them. Remember that in giving an answer to the interviewer's questions, you always have to be calm, clear and confident. Get rid of the rudeness and arrogance in the tone of your voice and your gestures.

1. How do you handle stress and pressure?
- Questions like this one is tricky. Most applicants' response to this question is a generic answer. They say they remain calm, stay focused and try not to panic, or they do careful planning to reduce work pressure. You can answer the question this way. This is ideal, but not always true for all applicants. Or if you are confident enough, answer the question with your own, real answers. Say, you close your eyes for at least 15 minutes to rest, even in the middle of work.

2. How will you describe your previous job/company?
- This will test your character. Whatever happened between you and your previous employer/company, do not say bad things about them. More importantly, do not reveal company secrets and internal issues. The best thing to do is to describe your basic job activities and the company in general, without any negative and unbiased words.

3. What are your greatest achievements?
- If you have been working in the corporate world for at least 2 years, do not answer this question with your academic achievements in college and high school. You can, however, if you are a fresh graduate. But if you're not, then you will just make yourself look like you did not achieve anything after graduation. Instead, let them know the greatest challenges you faced in your previous job and how you dealt with them.

4. Why do you think you're the best person for the job?
- You can sell yourself with this one. But remember not to "oversell" yourself. Mention of your strengths and momentous experiences in your career that made you a better person and a better professional than the previous or the next applicant.

5. How much salary do you expect?
- You have to sound smart with this one. Do not exaggerate your expectations. Even before going to the interview, research on the standard salary of the position you are applying for. Stay nearer to reality. You also need to consider in the figures your experiences, awards and achievements in the related field. Never undervalue yourself just for the sake of getting hired. If you are a fresh graduate, you can insert in your answer the idea that you are not too focused on the monetary gains and benefits, but rather for the experience.
